Travelling through time: March 2016

The Cronofy Blog

Travelling through Time

The ‘Travelling through Time’ series is a regular roundup of what’s been happening at Cronofy HQ over the past month. Join us on a journey through the events of March 2016…

This month has been about two things: Hack 24 and Postman! At one point the stars aligned when someone at Hack 24 used Postman, and it was spectacular. We love it when a plan comes together.

So, this was our March…

Run in Postman

Postman

For all you Postman fans out there, we introduced the ability to run it straight from your Cronofy account. It’s pretty intuitive, but you can read all about it here: Run in Postman right from your developer dashboard.

Postman

It’s not enough to just do stuff, we like talking about what we’ve done and why. Here Adam looks at How adding the ‘Run in Postman’ button changed our API.

Coding, collaboration, and cupcakes

Hack24

As headline sponsors at Hack 24, we were very involved with the event. Between us, we judged, sponsored, entered a challenge, baked cupcakes, raised money for charity, failed badly at a game of Family Fortunes, and played Exploding Kittens. Read a summary of Cronofy at this year’s Hack 24 (individual challenge posts will be coming next week!).

Hack tips

Hack24

As we’ve been living and breathing all things hackathon related throughout the month, we decided that it would be good to support that with some general advice that you can use for any coding event. Take a look at How to prepare for a hack event and How to develop ideas for hackathons.

pass

New employees mean new passes for the building! Unless for some reason they don’t get a pass, which would be a travesty.
