7 Ways Slack and Cronofy Can Boost Your Employee Experience

Here are some of our favourite applications of the Slack Calendar Connector.

Deadline reminders

The more deadlines that we have to meet, the harder it can become to keep track of them all. The Slack Calendar Connector can be set up so that users can ask slackbot what the deadline is for a particular project. Slackbot will then respond with the details.

All the reminders

It can be easy for calendar notifications to get missed. By adding event reminders to Slack, users can get a personal notification when they have a meeting to go to or need to jump on a call.

When you’re busy or you’ve been away for a week, it can be easy to lose track of time or forget what day it is. Slack can be set up to send a reminder of recurring meetings so that important meetings aren’t forgotten whatever the team have been up to.

It can also be set up to send users reminders of one-off meetings, such as employee appraisals.

If you’ve got a lot of candidates to interview for a meeting, you can also get slackbot to inform you of who you’re meeting and when.

To find out what’s coming up tomorrow or later in the week, type /cronofy into Slack, followed by the date you want information on. Slackbot will then return information on everything in your calendar on that day.

Shift management

In a large team it can be difficult to organize everyone’s shifts. When Cronofy works with Slack, it can be set up to send reports of what shifts are available in real-time, which means if anyone has to cancel last minute, the rest of the team can be notified straight away.

Staff absences

When you’re not feeling well the last thing you want to do is spend time chasing team members to let them know you won’t be in. When Cronofy is integrated into Slack, staff members that feel unwell can let slackbot know and have it contact the rest of the team and update the calendar.
