How Does Cronofy’s Pricing Work?

The Cronofy Blog

Discover more about how Cronofy's pricing model works in this post.

When it comes to investing in any software, the most important questions we want answers to are always: “what can it do for me?” and “what does it cost?”.

Pricing is a huge factor when it comes to the decision-making process. Pick the right option, and it could save you thousands. Pick the wrong one, and it could cost you just as much.

We want to make sure that when it comes to adding calendar sync to your software, you make the right decision for you.

How does Cronofy’s pricing model work?

Our pricing model works on two levels: the features you need and the number of users you connect to Cronofy each month.

What’s a user?

Someone is recognized as a user once they have completed the authorization process and connected their calendar to Cronofy.

A single user can have multiple calendars connected at the same time.

What if I go over my user limit?

If your user count goes over the number offered as part of your plan, you’ll be charged a few extra cents for every additional user. This will be included in your monthly invoice.

How much each additional user costs will depend on your chosen plan.

Data centers

The price is also affected by whether your data is hosted in the US or the EU. Our EU data center is slightly more expensive because our German servers cost more. However, you receive the same great experience no matter which data center you choose.

Why does it work this way?

Our customers are charged on a per-user basis. This matches the pricing model of many SaaS products, which makes it easier for our users to charge their customers for using the service.

If we were to charge per transaction – such as for the number of events written or the number of event lookups – it wouldn’t correlate to the value that our customers see from our platform or give to their customers.

By providing an unlimited transaction model, we’re not restricting our customers from delivering the best possible experience to their customers.

We only charge for active authorization. This means that only those users that require the features we support are connected.

For example, if only the hiring managers within a team need calendar sync, you will only be charged for the number of hiring managers that sync their calendars to your software using Cronofy.
